Dave and I started TCB Promotions
because of our love for music. And because of my love for Elvis.
That was September 2012.
We started the TCB to promote the 3 Elvis from Vancouver and then
added the Roy Orbison.
In finding places to put a poster in Nov. 2012 to advertise we were
bringing Eli to Salmon Arm (The Hideway), we stopped in at Thai on
the Fly in Shuswap Lake Estates. When picking up the poster, we were
asked who we had and/or who we could get. So the search began. We
then started having someone there once a month and our performers
were continually performing to sold out crowds and quite often there
were two seatings and sold out for both.
One evening, while working on our computers, a group of kids phoned
us to go listen to them and "promote them". That was the Elk Tribe
from Salmon Arm. What a wonderful experience that was. A fantastic
group of talented young people.
We then started to expand to Sicamous, Enderby and Kamloops. And we
continually increased the number of our acts.
In 2015, we took on roll of manager for one of our performers which
was another learning process for me.
In 2015, we were approached by one of our Elvi in Vancouver, Brian
Simpson, to do a fundraiser for Cache Creek. We did this at On the
Rocks in Kamloops and raised $1000.00 for the residents of Cache
In April of 2016, we started working with the Lupus Society of BC
and held fundraisers in Kamloops and Blind Bay and in those two
nights we raised $890.00 for the Society.
In May, we did a fundraiser for Fort McMurray and raised $1320 which
went to the Canadian Red Cross, and the Canadian Government matched
We are so pleased that we can put our talents and the talents of our
performers to such good causes.
We are now promoting a local Real Estate office and are very much
enjoying that process and we are always learning.
So to sum up we went from "promoting" 4 entertainers from Vancouver,
to working with over 50 acts and putting on shows in and around our
community. We have also obtained a very talented and knowledgeable
sound and lighting tech Paul Cuthbert.
We do not plan to stop here. So follow us to see what is next in our
Deb Dunsmore - Driver works
from a home office, where she looks after the dogs, cats and
bird. She also likes to sew and therefore has a couple of other
businesses doing dog bandanas and clothes, and also does quilts
and other sewing. On a nice summer day, you can see her outside
working in the yard. Deb is a very social person and is at her
best when entertaining and socializing with others, and she
enjoys playing cards. Deb is usually the "producer" of the shows
as she has the creativity and enjoys "mixing" things up. Her
creative juices never quit flowing.
Dave Driver works full time
at Cascades Casino in Kamloops as a Gaming Security Officer.
When not at the Casino, you will find Dave working in the yard,
being with his pets, putting up posters, putting up chairs, and
filming the shows. Dave is a very huge part of the "team", as he
is the support system for Deb and helps wherever and whenever he
can. Dave also likes to play cards and socialize on his down
time. But like Deb, he also likes to just be and put his feet
Paul Cuthbert is our sound
guy. You will see Paul and his assistants at most of our shows.
Paul is also a great support person for Deb as he has been in
the business most of his life and therefore can assist Deb in
the production of the shows. Paul's day job is a roady. He
travels around BC and into Alberta setting up arena shows for
major stars - Elton John, Shania Twain, Jason Aldean, just to
name a few.
